This online application uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL), 128 bit encryption to protect the data you transmit to us. However, if you are using a public or shared computer (such as in a library or Internet café), others may be able to view your personal information:

 

  • if you stop loading web pages during your filling process; or,
  • if you stop the application before the process is complete; or,
  • if you fail to click on "Log Off" when you are finished.

 

Your Personal Identification Number (PIN) is your electronic signature. It will help protect you from another person obtaining your personal information or information about your claim. Be sure to keep your PIN confidential.

 

Remember, only the claimant is authorized to use this system. Allowing someone else to file a claim is fraud on the part of the claimant and the person filing and the claimant will be responsible for any overpayment that results from fraudulent claims. The law provides penalties for making false statements or withholding material information in order to obtain benefits not due you.

 

Kansas Employment Security Law provides that information provided when filing for unemployment insurance must be kept confidential. Information may only be disclosed to the individual or employing unit which furnished the requested information, except, such information may be provided to public employees to be used in their official public duties. Because of this restriction, we cannot provide information about your claim to any family member.
